Surgery went GREAT

So, everything went well with the surgery!! Mom is up and feeling pretty good, you know as good as you can after they take a lemon size tumor out of your head and off of your skull (so that it no longer pushes on your brain)!!! She has a great sense of humor about it all, although she can only laugh so much with the headaches. In fact, things went so well, that the doctors have already sent her home!! She will now be at home unable to do much of anything. She is basically going to be like Rachel, waited on hand and foot. (Although, luckily for Rob, she will be able to dress herself and use the bathroom herself). We are so excited that she is doing so well. Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes so many of you had given and continue to give her, it is much appreciated!!

Mom

So for those of you who do not know, I don't know who doesn't, today is my Mom's brain surgery. She is in surgery currently and so far so good. They told her at first that she would just have to shave a small portion of her head, then it became the whole right side, so all the guys decided that they would shave thier heads too! (Even Brad) Mark's youngest sister (Mo) is getting married on the 5th and she didn't really want Mark to shave his head, but he figured it'll grow back anyway, it's just hair!!

Bath Time Fun

This morning Rachel was a little cranky so we decided it was time for a bath, which she now loves! (Which is a great relief for us)! She was more than happy to sit in her little tub in the warm water and be washed and shampooed! And I swear we take enough pictures of her that it's almost as though she knows what to do when she hears the camera turn on! Here are a couple of bath time pictures, we can't believe how much she has grown! As you can see, she has a big mouth like her Mama!

"Great Great Time"

Mark, Rachel and I were able to finally go down town to see Ron, Nataly, Ana and Granny! It was so nice to see them. Ana has grown so much and she is talking up a storm! Nataly was nice enough to have us over for dinner, which was GREAT as usual. It was so wonderful to have Rachel take pictures with Granny! FIVE generations, how wonderful is that, Rachel with her GREAT GREAT GRANDMOTHER! Here are a few pictures that we took. Ana was so cute with Rachel, saying that "Rachel Elisabeth is so cute!" It made us giggle every time she said it!

"WILD" child

Minnesota sent Mark some really great team logo items. Here are a few pictures of her sporting her new attire. There's her with her beanie, her bath towel and Mark's favorite her head support! He works for such a great organization and we love being able to show her off with the Minnesota logos.

Daddy Time

So the other day Rachel was being really fussy and her loving Father took it upon himself to sing her to sleep. (Now, those of you who really know Mark know that he is completely tone deaf and cannot sing to save his life). But my wonderful husband, doing all that he could decided to sing Rachel to sleep. We have a little Winnie the Pooh mobile that plays the theme from Winnie the Pooh, and he not knowing the words just sang to her, going along with the Winnie the Pooh music..."Daddy loves you, and Mommy does too, yes we yes we yes we do do do do, we love you, yes we do!" Over and over again until she just fell asleep. It was so cute, and when I told him that I heard him he said that he was singing for Rachel, because she likes the sound of his voice...I can't really say much about that, but it did put her to sleep.

I am so blessed to have such an actively participating Father for Rachel. Mark has been SOOOOO wonderful with her, it truly is a blessing! It's nice to know that we can all be together for the whole summer. He is such a GREAT husband and Dad!!
