11 days

Our little girl is getting bigger by the day. She does not like being naked, having a dirty diaper or getting a bath.(Until it comes to washing her hair, like a true woman she thouroughly enjoys that!!) She has been a bundle of fun, she's a great sleeper, she eats a TON. By the time we left the hospital she went from 8lbs 6oz to 7lbs 14oz, at her 6 day check up she was already up to 8lbs 12oz, really!?! And they thought that she was a little jaundice telling us that she wouldn't be a big eater, and that it'd probably take a while for her to put on some weight!! Let's just hope that she has Daddy's metabolism! Here are some of the latest and greatest of Rachel. She loves her little swing and like we said bath time is fun!! She did enjoy being in her little towel, so there's an upside! Besides, she needs to be clean!! When she sleeps she always looks SO content with everything, it makes us laugh!

Rachel Elisabeth Kincher

Well our baby is finally here, a BEAUTIFUL little GIRL. She was born on May 21st at 9:54pm weighing in at 8lbs 6oz and 21 inches long! Rachel and I are doing GREAT! Daddy was such a BIG help with everything that we needed. Mark and I couldn't be happier, Rachel has been such an easy baby. We couldn't be happier, she is such a blessing. Mommy and Daddy are obviously tired, but those are the joys of becoming a new parent!! Calm and quiet, she is obviously just like her Daddy...well except her little eyes!

These are some of here very first pictures with Mommy and Daddy. It's so crazy to think that we are parents, yet SOOOOO exciting!

It has been so nice to have my Mom and Rob here for the first few days of her life. They have been such a great blessing. They really like to hold her and watch her as we try and get some sleep during the day, and then they help take care of the house and the meals, so that has been WONDERFUL!! It was nice to have them here a couple of days before her birth so that we were all able to hang out and share our last few days together before becoming Parents and Grandparents. Unfortunately, they leave tomorrow and we will have to figure this whole thing out on our own. But, we are pretty confident, it's not as though we REALLY know what we're getting ourselves into!

On a final note...we too like so many people thought that we would have a little boy, but we couldn't be happier, Rachel has been WONDERFUL! As for the 2 people that guessed that she'd be a girl...congratulations!! To the 17 of you who thought we were having a boy, don't worry we still like you (two of those votes were ours)!!! :)

5 years and counting! CHICKEN?

It is amazing to think that 5 years can go by so fast. Every year on our Anniversary we have tried to go do something fun. Taking turns choosing what to do.
* The 1st year was camping at Canyonlands National Park.
* The second year we went to California to enjoy Disneyland, Sea World, Knotts Berry Farm, and the San Diego Wild Animal Park.
* The third year we were living in Michigan and went to Cedar Point in Ohio.
* Last year while living in Alaska we thought it would be fun to de-thaw in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
This year we had tons of great ideas, however, those of you that have had babies know you can't wander off to far from where the hospital is, so we decided to just stay around the city. We woke up and made strawberry and banana pancakes. They were way better than I expected. We played rumikub (not to sure on the spelling), its a new game that we got. Amber usually wins, so we have been playing it a lot.
That night we went to PF Chang's. That is were we went with the wedding party after we got married. We went all out with the lettuce wraps and the banana rolls for dessert. Our food came out while we were eating the lettuce wraps and the lady just put it on the table. It ended up being someone else's order, but our waiter let us keep it so we had tons of food which made for a good lunch the next day. We then got fortune cookies. Amber opened hers up and told me that she had mine. I asked her what it said and she said chicken. I looked at her with a disturbed look on my face Chicken? It was the back of the fortune.
Oh, I had to put this too. Amber gave me a card that said. "He looked at her, She looked at him. All those who saw it threw up a little." It made me laugh. Its always funny when people tell us that we are cute newly weds. We just love being together.
Amber kept telling kimchee that he/she could not come out till after our day, so kimchee we are waiting!

38 weeks...

So we went to the doctor today and needless to say Mark left a very happy camper. I am only dialated to a 1, but the doc said that Kimchee is, "Really Low!" and that we could see him as soon as THIS weekend. Which is really nice for me because I am done with the kicking and shoving and the sleepless nights and the going to the bathroom all the time. I always think of those commercials for bladder control, it's not a "going" problem, but it's "growing" problem and let me tell you this kid is HUGE! Dr. Nguyen tried to stretch out my woo-ha a little more, yeah that was fun, but he said that he was very pleased with my progress and that we would try to evict the little one ASAP, which made me very happy! I went to the bathroom again before leaving and Mark made our appointment for next Tuesday, and again the doctor said, "Maybe we'll see you this weekend! Wouldn't that be great to have the baby on your anniversary"? We'll see what happens! Mark can't get this big grin off his face and is convinced that the baby is coming out this weekend or early next week because he has been giving the baby 'pep' talks. Whatever makes him happy. Needless to say we'd be thrilled to have Kimchee here sooner rather than later!
